Summary

CTC Group is seeking System Administrators, for a contingent program supporting mission-critical IT systems and infrastructure. In this role, you will help operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize complex computing environments while supporting users, resolving technical issues, and ensuring systems remain reliable and mission-ready. You will work across server, storage, network, and operating system environments while collaborating with technical teams and Government customers.
Locations: Annapolis Junction / Ft. Meade

Responsibilities

  • Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for IT systems and infrastructure
  • Manage day-to-day configuration and operation of enterprise IT systems
  • Monitor and resolve issues affecting servers, storage, networks, client devices, and other system components
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support, including problem identification, diagnosis, escalation, and resolution
  • Assist users with accessing and effectively using IT systems
  • Troubleshoot complex system, hardware, software, and application issues
  • Configure and manage UNIX, Windows, and other applicable operating systems
  • Install and maintain operating system software and implement enhancements that improve reliability and performance
  • Configure and maintain network components and supporting infrastructure
  • Optimize system operations, resource utilization, and overall system performance
  • Perform system capacity analysis and planning
  • Provide technical analysis and status updates to Government and internal customers for escalated issues
  • Support hardware issue resolution and remain engaged through problem closure
  • Support system upgrades, maintenance activities, and lifecycle operations
  • For Level 3 positions, support the design of systems, mission architectures, and associated hardware
  • For Level 3 positions, analyze and resolve complex issues involving server hardware, applications, and software integration

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
    • Five (5) years of additional System Administrator experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise IT systems
  • Experience working with operating systems, servers, networks, storage, and related infrastructure

Level 2 Qualifications

  • Ten (10) years experience as a System Administrator on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Level 3 Qualifications
  • Fifteen (15) years experience as a System Administrator on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
