Signals Analyst (UHF/VHF)
Summary
CTC Group is seeking System Engineers (Signals Analysts) to support RF/SIGINT mission operations focused on UHF/VHF signal environments. The selected candidate will analyze signal data, support survey and collection systems, and contribute to system-level understanding of dataflow, architecture, and mission integration across EMC platforms. This role supports rapid-response RF sensor development, deployment, and operational analysis within classified environments in support of national security missions.
Locations: Annapolis Junction / Ft. Meade
Responsibilities
- Perform intelligence and technical analysis of UHF/VHF signals, deriving actionable insights from collected RF data to support mission operations, system development, and SIGINT objectives.
- Support tasking, execution, and analysis of survey and collection systems, ensuring proper alignment with mission requirements, CONOPS, and real-world operational needs.
- Analyze and interpret high-level signal activity, including identifying patterns, anomalies, and signal characteristics across complex RF environments.
- Collaborate with system engineers and developers to understand and assess dataflow across collection systems, ensuring accurate interpretation of how data is ingested, processed, and utilized within mission architectures.
- Contribute to system architecture and integration efforts by providing signal-level insights that inform RF system design, performance improvements, and operational effectiveness.
- Support development of documentation including reports, assessments, and technical inputs to system requirements, operational concepts, and analytical products derived from signal analysis.
- Assist in testing, validation, and operational evaluation of RF collection systems, ensuring signal performance, compatibility, and mission readiness across deployed environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analysts, engineers, and operators to support lifecycle activities such as system integration, deployment, and operational support of SIGINT capabilities.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Experience analyzing UHF/VHF signals and working within RF/SIGINT collection environments.
- Familiarity with SCEPTRE, SALVAGE, or similar signal processing / analysis tools.
- Experience tasking or supporting survey/collection systems and interpreting resulting data.
- Understanding of system dataflow, including how data moves through collection, processing, and analysis pipelines.
Level 2 Qualifications
- Fourteen (14) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
Level 3 Qualifications
- Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
Pay Information
The final salary may be influenced by various factors, such as location, labor categories, experience, education, and/or certifications. CTC also provides a variety of benefits as well as opportunities for continuous education and development.
The estimated salary range for this position is $200,000 - $230,000.
