Summary

CTC Group is seeking a System Performance Engineer to develop and modernize elements of the IC geolocation product line. Within a team, you'll have the opportunity to exercise your skills in all facets of the systems engineering life cycle including requirements gathering, system design, testing, artifact development, and deployment. You will work across teams and missions to integrate applications, data formats, data flows, and geolocation technologies for capabilities supporting warfighters across the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate software applications and systems for performance, accessibility, and reliability. Create reports and make recommendations for improvement
  • Create test scenarios, test cases and test plans for software application and systems
  • Perform testing, create test reports, and track defects
  • Evaluate for software application and systems for usability and make recommendations for improvement
  • Work closely with the customers, product users, and product owners to understand the mission needs, define requirements, and create use cases
  • Work with mission stakeholders to research and document external integrations
  • Create and/or edit technical documentation such as user guides, system diagrams, etc.

Basic Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
  • Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience performing systems engineering in the design of complex architectures
  • Ability to analyze system performance, create reports, and recommend solutions for improvement
  • Ability to resolve performance and reliability issues
  • Proficient in Windows and Linux environments
  • Familiarity with Linux scripting languages
  • Experience writing test scenarios, test cases, test plans, and test reports
  • Ability to perform software testing for functional requirements, report and track defect during testing; ensure code meets performance, operational readiness, and other non-functional requirements
  • Understanding of basic UI/UX principles and ability to recommend improvements
  • Experience with agile methodologies and the ability to work with stakeholders to identify needs, create epics, functional requirements, and user stories
  • Ability to create, edit, and maintain technical documentation including user guides, architecture diagrams, dataflow diagrams, etc.

Desired Skills

  • Basic understanding of data formats (i.e., XML) and flows
  • Understanding of communication protocols (i.e., WiFi, cellular, etc.)
  • Understanding of cross platform geolocation mission use cases and applicable workflows
  • Familiarity with the JICD 4.2
