Summary

CTC Group is seeking System Engineers, for a contingent program supporting complex mission systems throughout the full systems engineering lifecycle. In this role, you will help define technical requirements, evaluate system designs, develop engineering solutions, and work directly with Government stakeholders to address technical challenges across concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement.
Locations: Annapolis Junction / Ft. Meade

Responsibilities

  • Apply systems engineering principles throughout the full system lifecycle, from concept and development through deployment, sustainment, and retirement
  • Analyze system requirements, architectures, and technical alternatives to develop effective engineering solutions
  • Develop and deliver systems engineering work products across technical, project, enterprise, and acquisition-related process areas
  • Evaluate technical approaches and recommend alternatives that improve system design, integration, and mission performance
  • Collaborate with Government customers, program personnel, engineers, and senior stakeholders to resolve technical issues and conflicts
  • Support requirements analysis, architectural design, integration, verification, validation, risk management, and configuration management activities
  • Independently analyze complex technical problems and recommend solutions for elements of system and project design
  • Evaluate new technologies, engineering approaches, and solutions for suitability within mission environments
  • Develop and recommend engineering standards, processes, and best practices for assigned projects
  • Coordinate or supervise the work of engineers and technical personnel on complex engineering efforts
  • Brief stakeholders on technical status, risks, issues, and recommended courses of action
  • Make independent engineering decisions regarding technical approaches, methodologies, and project execution
  • Lead systems engineering activities and provide technical direction to engineering teams on advanced efforts
  • For senior-level positions, provide subject matter expertise and resolve complex engineering issues involving advanced technologies and high-priority mission capabilities

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance

Level 2 Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus four (4) years of systems engineering experience.
  • OR: A High School Diploma or GED plus eight (8) years of general system engineering experience.
  • OR: A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of systems engineering experience.
  • OR: A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus one (1) years of systems engineering experience.

Level 3 Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus six (6) years of systems engineering experience.
  • OR: A High School Diploma or GED plus ten (10) years of general system engineering experience.
  • OR: A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus four (4) years of systems engineering experience.
  • OR: A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus four (4) years of systems engineering experience.

Level 4 Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus ten (10) years of systems engineering experience.
  • OR: A High School Diploma or GED plus fourteen (14) years of general system engineering experience.
  • OR: A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eight (8) years of systems engineering experience.
  • OR: A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eight (8) years of systems engineering experience.

Level 5 Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus fifteen (15) years of systems engineering experience.
  • OR: A High School Diploma or GED plus nineteen (19) years of general system engineering experience.
  • OR: A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience.
  • OR: A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience.

Level 6 Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience.
  • OR: A High School Diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of general system engineering experience.
  • OR: A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience.
  • OR: A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus eighteen (18) years of systems engineering experience.
