System Administrator
Summary
CTC Group is seeking System Administrators, levels 1-3, for a contingent program to provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. The System Administrator manages IT system infrastructure and any related processes while providing support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
Locations: Annapolis Junction / Ft. Meade
Responsibilities
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
- Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
- Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems.
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
- Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware.
- Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
Level 1 Qualifications
- Ten (10) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- OR: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or appropriate field from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of experience.
- One (1) year experience with modern operating systems and network architectures.
- One (1) year experience with Certification and Accreditation process, Architecture development and design, Risk Assessments and IA Metrics gathering.
- DoD 8570 CWIP Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I certification or higher is required.
Level 2 Qualifications
- Fifteen (15) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- OR: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or appropriate field from an accredited college or university plus Ten (10) years of experience.
- Three (3) year experience with modern operating systems and network architectures.
- Three (3) year experience with Certification and Accreditation process, Architecture development and design, Risk Assessments and IA Metrics gathering.
- DoD 8570 CWIP Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I certification or higher is required.
Level 3 Qualifications
- Twenty (20) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- OR: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or appropriate field from an accredited college or university plus Fifteen (15) years of experience.
- Five (5) year experience with modern operating systems and network architectures.
- Five (5) year experience with Certification and Accreditation process, Architecture development and design, Risk Assessments and IA Metrics gathering.
- DoD 8570 CWIP Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification or higher is required.
Pay Information
The final salary may be influenced by various factors, such as location, labor categories, experience, education, and/or certifications. CTC also provides a variety of benefits as well as opportunities for continuous education and development.
The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $170,000.
