Process Engineer
Summary
CTC Group is seeking Process Engineers, levels 2-3, for a contingent program to apply process improvement (PI), engineering methodologies, and principles to effectively improve and align Enterprise-level processes.
Locations: Annapolis Junction / Ft. Meade
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule process assessments.
- Analyze assessment results and make improvement recommendations to the team.
- Assess Process Improvement progress and document and report findings.
- Assist in defining Process Improvement strategy and lessons learned.
- Assist with developing plans for process assessments, both informal and formal.
- Work closely with the systems and software engineering process development team members to determine organizational readiness for assessment as well as in conducting sessions.
- Assist assessment teams in conducting both informal and formal assessments.
- Ensure assessment results and recommendations are used as the basis for improvement plans.
- Assist in evaluating Systems Engineering and Software Engineering processes to address problems with process workflows, organizational structure, and alignment and planning.
- Engage in training sessions and workshops for Process Improvement activities.
- Develop the plans for process assessments, both informal and formal.
- Lead assessment teams in conducting both formal and informal assessments.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for Process Improvement activities.
- Lead Process Improvement effort utilizing CMM/CMMI or other similar process models.
- Interpret and promote the use of Process Improvement best practices.
- Evaluate system and software engineering processes to address problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develop appropriate corrective action.
- Evaluate Systems Engineering and Software Engineering processes to address problems with process work flows, organizational structure and alignment and planning.
- Make improvement recommendations based on program, organizational, and project needs.
- Advocate improved quality and productivity through systems and software development processes and methods.
- Assist in Enterprise level Systems and Software Engineering Process Improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and direction in supporting the application of sound system and software engineering Process Improvement concepts.
- Ensure processes are established and documented to support the application and institutionalization of sound systems and software engineering discipline and continuous Process Improvement.
- Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
- Assess Process Improvement progress and report findings to leadership.
- Lead process improvement efforts utilizing CMM/CMMI or other similar process models including lean six sigma.
- Produce and enable managed, repeatable, defined processes and eliminate waste, reduce process variation, and optimize process efficiency.
- Recommend strategies to the Government PI Program Manager for improving engineering practices across the agency.
- Advise agency Organizational Leaders and Program Managers regarding software engineering, systems engineering, and/or PI strategies to enable mission success
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
Level 2 Qualifications
- Ten (10) years of experience applying process improvement (PI), engineering methodologies, and principles to effectively improve and align Enterprise-level processes.
- OR: A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or management from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of additional experience.
- Experience is required within the past ten (10) years with at least five (5) years experience in leading, developing, facilitating, training, methodology development and evaluation, process engineering across all phases of acquisition identifying best practices, change management, business management techniques, organizational development, activity and data modeling, or information system development methods and practices.
Level 3 Qualifications
- Fifteen (15) years of experience applying process improvement (PI), engineering methodologies, and principles to effectively improve and align Enterprise-level processes.
- OR: A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or management from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years of additional experience.
- Experience is required within the past ten (10) years with at least seven (7) years experience in leading, developing, facilitating, training, methodology development and evaluation, process engineering across all phases of acquisition identifying best practices, change management, business management techniques, organizational development, activity and data modeling, or information system development methods and practices.
Pay Information
The final salary may be influenced by various factors, such as location, labor categories, experience, education, and/or certifications. CTC also provides a variety of benefits as well as opportunities for continuous education and development.
The estimated salary range for this position is $140,000 - $220,000.
